General Department

This department is the pivot of the Municipality which carries out all administrative as well as establishment functions starting from appointment/posting/transfer of staff, looking after the pension, gratuity and PF matters of retired staff, leave statement of the staff, Govt. grants received and the flow of Govt. orders thereof, all types of work in connection to BoC resolutions and meetings only to name a few.

• The Front Office is also a part of the General Department which is concerned about selling of all types of forms, dispatch of Birth/Death Certificates, Certificate of Enlistment and other Certificates etc.
• The Receiving Section also comes under the General Department which receives all letters which come to this Office and are then sent to the concerned department by the order of the Chairman/Vice Chairperson for further action.

This Municipality is implementing the Government Programs such as Mid-Day Meal schemes- Supply of Food grains and financial assistance for preparation and supply of Cooked Mid-Day Meal to the students of 59 Schools within this Municipal area. Konnashree, Sabuj Sathi, Samabaythi, Swastha Sathi Schemes for the benefit of the society are running through this Municipality. These are the beneficiary schemes.
