(Based on Notification no 222-SH/2P-49/07 dated 23.05.2007 of department of Self Help Group & Self Employment, Govt of West Bengal)
This scheme shall be called “SWAMI VIVEKANANDA SWANIRBHAR KARMASANASTHAN PRAKALPA” and for individual/individuals (upto 4 no) it shall be called ATMA MARYADA and for groups of 5 and above entrepreneurs it shall be called ATMA SAMMAN hereinafter referred to as scheme. The scheme came into effect from the financial year 2000-2001.
Objective:
The objective of the scheme is to generate self employment in the urban and rural areas of the state through promotion of tiny scale units of production, manufacturing, trade, service or any other sector including agro-based industries, floriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry other than direct agriculture.
Eligibility
- Entrepreneur or group of entrepreneurs preferably registered with any employment exchange of the state of West Bengal.
- PAN or Addhar Card is mandatory for applicant in that said scheme.
- Family income does not exceed Rs 15000.00 /- per month.
- Trade License from the concerned Municipality shall be obtained.
- Entrepreneur’s age limit between 18 to 45 years.
- Employee of central/state Govt. / Govt undertakings / People Representatives and their families will not be eligible to come under the purview of the scheme.
Procedure of SVSKP application:
Any eligible unemployed can apply in the prescribed from available within the municipal offices (SHG&SE Section), individually or in group of five or more and submitted to the Prakalpa Sahayak for the area to which he/she belongs along with the project report. The Prakalpa Sahayak shall guide and assist him/her in filling up the application form. Any project above Rs 2.50 lakhs should be vetted by a technically qualified person who may be ether a Govt. employee or a private practitioner.
The Prakalpa Sahayak shall deposit the application to the Supervisor SHG&SE at municipal office. Then designated officer at municipality in consultation with the concern Supervisor and Prakalpa Sahayak shall process the applications and place them to the PIC in sub divisional office Serampore. After passing in PIC the applications are sent to the Public sector bank. Loan applications only which are considered as eligible are instructed to deposit their contribution (5%). After sanctioning the application Municipal Officer claim the subsidy amount (30%) from District SHG Office Hooghly.
Skill Development Training:
Skill Development Trainings are organized by municipal authorities with the help of Department of Self Help Group and Self Employment, Govt of West Bengal for SHG members as well as Unemployed Youth in our municipal area. Contact with your ward councilors to enlisted your name in that training.
